Why Bayou Beam

One crew that knows steel, from the slab to the ridge cap

Most metal building companies sell you a kit and leave the rest to you. We build the whole thing.
  • Local Houston crew

We live and build here. We know the soils, the wind loads, the permit offices and the drive times.

  • We self-perform the steel

Our own crew sets the frames and sheets the building. The steel package is never handed to a stranger.

  • Turnkey or erection-only

Hire us for the whole project, or just to erect the kit you already bought.

  • Built for Gulf Coast wind loads

Every building is engineered for your site’s wind speed, with stamped drawings from the manufacturer.

  • Clear, written quotes

You’ll know exactly what’s included, what isn’t and when it happens. No surprise change orders.

  • Repairs & add-ons

We fix, re-sheet, extend and add lean-tos to existing metal buildings, including ones we didn’t build.

Reviews

What Houston owners say

  • “They walked the lot with me, caught that my slab plan didn’t match the anchor-bolt drawing, and fixed it before the pour. The shop went up square and the doors run smooth.”
    Mark R.Cypress · 40x60 shop
  • “One person to call from clearing to dry-in. We always knew what was next and what it would cost, and the written quote matched the final bill.”
    Danielle T.Magnolia · Barndominium shell
  • “We needed the building up on a tight schedule for a plant contract. Their crew erected it fast and the site was clean every afternoon.”
    Luis G.Baytown · 60x100 warehouse
  • “Our HOA was picky. They drew the building with matching colors and wainscot, helped with the submittal, and it got approved the first time.”
    Kevin & Amy P.Katy · RV garage
  • “Straight answers on what the coastal wind rating meant for my barn and what it would add to the price. No upselling.”
    Ray M.Alvin · Equipment barn + lean-to
  • “After the storm took half my roof panels, they documented everything for my adjuster and had the building dried in within days.”
    Sandra W.Tomball · Storm repair & re-sheet

FAQ

Common questions

More answers on our full FAQ page.

How much does a metal building cost in Houston?

It depends on size, height, doors, insulation, foundation and site work, and on whether you buy a kit, kit + erection, or turnkey. Our metal building cost guide explains each cost driver and shows sample price-per-square-foot ranges.

Do you only erect buildings, or build the whole project?

Both. We can erect a kit you already bought, or handle everything as a turnkey design-build, including design, permits, slab, steel, doors and trades.

What areas do you serve?

Houston and Greater Houston, including Katy, Cypress, Tomball, The Woodlands, Conroe, Magnolia, Sugar Land, Pearland, League City, Baytown and more. See all areas we serve.

Are your buildings built for hurricanes and Gulf Coast wind?

Every building is engineered by the manufacturer for the code-required wind speed and exposure at your site, with stamped drawings. Sites closer to the coast get heavier framing and rated doors.

Can you repair or add on to my existing metal building?

Yes, including buildings we didn’t build. We re-sheet, repair frames and purlins, fix storm damage, cut in doors, and add bays and lean-tos. See repairs & extensions.

How long does it take to build a metal building?

Erection is the fast part, often days to a few weeks. Engineering, manufacturing lead times, permits and the slab usually set the overall schedule. You get a written timeline with your quote.
