Metal Building Erection for Customer-Supplied Kits

If you have already bought a pre-engineered metal building kit, we erect it to the manufacturer’s stamped drawings with our own experienced crew and equipment: primary frames, secondary framing, roof and wall panels, trim, insulation and doors.

What should I check before buying a kit?

Send us your order or quote before you buy and we will point out anything missing. It costs nothing and can save a second delivery.

  • The kit is engineered for your county’s wind speed and exposure, with stamped drawings
  • Anchor-bolt drawings arrive before the slab is formed
  • The order includes trim, sealants, fasteners and insulation, not just steel
  • Door and framed-opening sizes match what you want to park

Do you work as a steel sub for general contractors?

Yes. We erect pre-engineered packages for GCs on commercial jobs, with our own crew and lifting equipment. Certificates of insurance are available on request. See our warehouse and commercial work.

FAQ

Steel Erection questions

Will you erect a kit you didn’t sell?

Yes, that is what this service is for. We erect kits from the major pre-engineered manufacturers as long as the drawings and materials are complete.

Do you pour the slab too?

We can. If someone else pours it, we ask to check the anchor-bolt layout before the pour, because bolt errors are hard and costly to fix later.

How long does erection take?

A 40x60 shop often goes up in about a week of crew time once the slab is cured and the steel is on site, depending on weather, doors and options. Bigger buildings take longer, and we give you a schedule with the quote.

Who supplies the lift and equipment?

We bring our own equipment for most residential and light commercial buildings. Larger jobs may need a crane, which we schedule and include in the quote.

What if parts are missing from my kit?

We inventory against the bill of materials at delivery so shortages get reported to the manufacturer right away, not mid-erection.
